Stormy with a chance of oil

It seems that hurricane season is upon us as seen by the recent development of tropical storm Alex. This time of year is usually pretty tense for those on the coast. Tension will be elevated with the recent drama surrounding the oil spill. Gulf residents will more than likely have to deal with stormy weather with a chance of oil. This could potentially be a very hazardous combination. Individuals living on the coast will want to make sure they take extra precautions this hurricane season.

Recalls reflecting standards?

It seems that the recent string of recalls this year is starting to become the norm. Kelloggs recently declared a voluntary recall of some of their popular cereal due to an unfavorable odor. Prior to this recall, Mcdonalds announced a recall of their own relating to Shrek glassware.

In light of these recalls, some may question the quality of today's manufacturing processes. Is the quality being affected by the lack of workers or is there some underlying conspiracy(hope not)? You be the judge.

Some more notable recalls recently have been Lexus/Toyota recalls and the baby crib recalls.
